Uganda has been named as a crisis hot spot in the latest report issued by the Institute for Security Studies-ISS.
The ISS Peace and Security Council report released early this week names Uganda and eleven other African countries as crisis hot spot. Uganda is cited in the report as a crisis hot spot due to a contentious election.
Uganda goes to poll on 18th February in a hotly contested election that has attracted eight presidential candidates. There’s however fear of an outbreak of violence in days leading to and after elections.
Below is the map showing crisis hot spots in the continent.
