Uganda’s President Signs Anti-Gay Bill

Kampala-Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has signed into law the bill that criminalizes homosexuality. Museveni signed the controversial bill into law before the media on Monday afternoon at Statehouse Entebbe. “Even now i have not fully understood that you can fail to get attracted to these beautiful women and get attracted to a man, This is a very serious matter” President Museveni noted as he signed the Anti-Homosexuality bill into law. Museveni had earlier threatened that Uganda will turn to Rusia over what he called the west meddling in Uganda’s sovereignty. US Calls For Withdrawal of Foreign Forces From South Sudan

Washington– The US government has called for the withdrawal of foreign troops from South Sudan. In a strongly worded press release issued by State Department spokesperson, Jen Psaki, the US government warned of the risk of regionalization the conflict as a result of foreign interference. “We urge the redeployment or phased withdrawal of foreign forces invited by either side, and warn of the serious consequences which could result from any regionalization of this conflict,” Psaki said. She also called for an inclusive reconciliation process in the IGAD-sponsored political dialogue in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
